Family Fun Day
Family Fun Day is a FREE activity based program aimed at engaging families with children 0-12yrs. This family event is run once in the earlier half of the year on a Saturday morning to allow the whole family to participate. The morning usually includes activities such as singing, stories, craft and other age appropriate activities. The morning concludes with a morning tea which is an opportunity for families to meet and connect with other families.
mainly music is a fun music based play group for parents or primary care givers to enjoy together with their children aged from birth to school age.
Family Connexions is a social group of young families who gather for picnics, barbecues and other activities. This is a ministry of relational support, care and encouragement, especially for those who have participated in a Baptism or Thanksgiving Service for their child at Glebe Rd UC.
This service is open to Parents with Children of any age who wish to avail themselves of this service. Baptism is a sacrament of the Church and in the Uniting Church the sprinkling of water is used for babies and children as the Lord commanded (Matthew 28 v19). Parents or caregivers promise to bring up the child in a Christian loving environment; with the Congregation pledging their support and ongoing care for that family. There is a designated person from the congregation who will send out birthday cards and invitations to activities which may interest families.
Baptism services are conducted at our Sunday 10:15 service. Extended Family members are invited to attend and encouraged to be present for this important day in a child’s spiritual development.
There is no charge for this service, but an offering is taken up in all of our services.

Youth and Young Adults Ministry - School Chaplaincy
The School Chaplaincy Programs in our local primary and high schools are vital ministries of care and support for staff, students and their families. We support the chaplaincy services at Ipswich Central State School, Ipswich East State School, Silkstone State School, Bundamba State School and Bundamba State Secondary College. Our Lead Minister, Peter Arnett, serves as the Chairperson of the Local Chaplaincy Committee for this network of schools.
Youth and Young Adults Ministry - School Meals
Each year this group provides much needed meals for students of Bremer State High School and Bundamba Secondary College who may find themselves in difficult circumstances. This work assists the chaplains to provide both emergent and ongoing support for students.
The group generally conducts three ‘cooks’ per year and produces approximately 300 nutritious low cost meals for needy students.
