Glebe Road Uniting Church

built on Faith, immersed in Love, empowered for Action.

Our Philosophy

We are a people on a faith journey
… seeking to be led and empowered by the Spirit of God to reach and influence lives;
to serve as Christ’s hands and feet,
… called to “Act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly” with God.
Built on Faith , Immersed in Love and Empowered for Action.

Our Mission

Across all of church life and activity we:
• focus on FAITH through Spirit led worship, Biblical teaching and intentional prayer..
• focus on LOVE , unity, connectedness, and belonging..
• focus on ACTION through using the gifts God has given us, to make a difference in our world.

Services Times

Unfortunately, due to COVID-19, there will be no 8:15am or 10:15am worship services at Glebe Road this Sunday.

Services will still be held at Ellenborough Street and Jacaranda Street at 9am for those who would like to attend.

An online service from Ellenborough Street can also be live streamed on Sunday from here.

We continue to uphold in prayer all those who are sick and in isolation, as well as our health care and frontline workers, and our leaders.

Welcome

Welcome to Glebe Road Uniting Church!

I am delighted to introduce to you Nyleta Bruce who has recently been commissioned as our Families Pastor. The role of Families Pastor is vitally important in supporting our church families and connecting with families across the Ipswich community.

We continue on our journey of becoming one congregation with the Uniting Churches across Ipswich. This is an exciting time in the life and mission of the Ipswich Uniting Church and I invite you to come along to share this journey of discovery, growing together, and reaching out to the community with the love of Christ.

On Sunday 10th October we will be launching into the fifth, and final, series of sermons relating to the Five Practices of Fruitful Congregations. The fifth practice is entitled Extravagant Generosity. One of the hallmarks of Glebe Road UC is generosity. This season will provide a great opportunity to build on our strengths.

You are warmly invited to share in our Sunday Morning Worship Services and any of the upcoming activities advertised. Please stay connected with us through the website and Facebook pages.

I hope to see you soon!

Blessings,
Pete.
