What’s Happening?

=================================================================

A Joint Nomination Committee has been convened and a first report was received at the

last General Meeting. The process is a long one, but, we have made a start.

=================================================================

Our minister, Rev. Peter Hobson, has resigned, effective from 31.10.2011.

The Glebe Road Uniting Church Church Council is currently undertaking preparation for the calling of a new minister.

Rev. David Baker, as Synod’s representative to us from the Bremer Brisbane Presbytery, has held information sessions with the Council and has commenced the process with us, of re-writing the congregational profile and identifying the primary strengths, goals and needs here at Glebe Road.

While this transition process is as all encompassing as possible and may, by some standards, be lengthy, no time is being lost in achieving a position from which a call can be made to well matched candidates.

For the immediate future,  Dr John Roulston will continue providing pastoral leadership and ministry oversight for the Glebe Road UC community. He can be contacted at
